This is where the pleasingly poetic meets the decidedly silly. Where colourful cowboys top up teacups, feathered friends traverse sunset skies, and fish tip top hats to salute them.
What began as a passion project has evolved into something more, serving surreal art to bring cheer and cheek to your home.
Kiera Black is an art director, designer and artist based in London but born and raised in the Ireland. She grew up doing arts and crafts with a creative mum, reading the poetry of Spike Milligan and listening to Manu Chao with a quirky dad, and letting her imagination run free in the quite magic of the Irish wilds, before moving to London to work in advertising.
When she’s not drawing charming cowboys and making terracotta Friends, she enjoys her Real Job, running the creative studio Bam Bam Madame.

The Silly Filly was initially started as a hobby and an incentive to be creative purely in the name of fun.
After the first illustrations were met with unexpected aplomb, the collection was expanded until ‘Dancing in the Desert’ was 10 prints strong… and here we are, with stockists including Glassette, Maison Flaneur, Domenica Marland and Not Another Bill.
