Odyssey (noun) - a long journey or quest, often involving exciting or challenging activities or done in search of some spiritual fulfilment or understanding.
There’s an Irish musician called Talos whose song ‘Odyssey’, along with much of his other music, has a special place on my Move Me List. It’s romantic, heart-breaking, poetic, with a hint of the mystical. With this drawing I wanted to situate the notion in the common. A family of bison making their way across a landscape of dreamy hues, sitting within a frame like a piece of traditional folk art.
